The new RIDGID micro Explorer Digital Inspection Camera is a powerful, handheld, video inspection system that is portable enough to be carried anywhere. This completely digital platform allows you to perform and record detailed visual inspections of hard to reach areas. The micro Explorer allows you to offer more services and provides you the tools you need to detect and diagnose the unreachable. This product offers everything the See Snake Micro can plus many more features including a 3-1/2-Inch Color LCD (320-by-240 resolution), JPG Images (1280-by-1024), AVI Video (320-by-240), some recording using an internal memory or SD card. The Mico Explorer also offers many image controls including panning, zooming, self leveling, low light vision. The camera has fully adjustable LED’s and a diameter of .7-Inch. As is the camera reaches 3-Feet. If that is not enough, there is an optional 30-Feet extension piece. The Micro Explorer runs on a rechargeable lithium ion battery with a continuous run time of 4 hours.

Worth the money

I looked at the less expensive devices (Milwaukee and Ridgid) and found both the small screen and lack of picture storage a problem. So my next level of pain ($$) led me to this device.
This device is great in those respects. The picture quality is great (even for me using cheaters (read that a an old guy looking at it!) I really like the self leveling.
The only complaint would be the center button could be better designed or implemented.
Now I just need to keep my associates from borrowing it from me!

Top notch product in many ways. The picture quality is outstanding while the LED lighting is an absolute necessity. I find the battery compartment a bit hard to easily remove and reinstall. I do find the picture saving process a bit annoying because it takes several seconds to save a picture then it resets the image on the screen and that takes another few seconds to return to normal. Overlooking those minor items I am truly impressed with the versatility it offers from looking inside a wall to inspecting a furnace. Its taken a couple knocks and yet the lense remains perfectly clear and unscratched. Battery life seems outstanding.
Ok, But One Problem

Have had problems with power button, Sometime it works sometimes it doesn’t.
The variable LED lighting is nice.
Like other times I’ve ordered on Amazon.com I PAY for fast shipping and get ground shipping.
This sucks. I’ll think twice before using Amazon.com because of these shipping issues.
