Travels easily and keeps their interest
Interesting toy. The competitive way it’s intended to be played doesn’t seem to be my son (age 
uses it. He and his friends have played with this repeatedly, but they seem to just enjoy watching the action of it. The appeal seems to be the tornado-like action of the tops, the inevitable collisions, the metallic sound of the tops knocking each other.
Actually figuring out how to use the tops initially took a bit, and the tops come apart a little too easily. The bowl is made of lightweight plastic, so you don’t want anyone to accidentally sit on it, lest it crack (which ours has).
By far, the thing I like most about this toy is it’s portability and it’s suitability to getting other children interested. My son has brought it along to his sister’s soccer game (which he has little interest in) and quickly found someone to play with. The bowl itself makes it easy to carry the tops without dropping them, so the toy comes home without any pieces missing.
Great fun for a beyblader
If you have a child into beyblades then they are sure to love this arena. It makes a good starter kit without breaking the bank. The stadium is not super sturdy but it will hold up okay as long as it’s not abused. Out of my 2 young sons (6 & one was enthused about it, the other was indifferent. I guess I will just have to wait and see if the enthusiasm hold out or if this will end up relegated to the closet in a short period.
My 6 Year Old Loves It
My 6 year old son got $20 from his Grandma for his birthday and couldn’t wait to order this. He got it in the mail a few days later and hasn’t stopped playing with since. I’m very surprised, he usually gets board with things after a few days and forgets about them but this toy has kept him entertained for over two weeks now. He has an 8 year old brother and they play this all the time. I was a little worried that he wouldn’t be able to “rip” them because I think the box says it’s for 8 and up, but after the first few times he has mastered it. The bowl is made of plastic but seems sturdy enough and the blades are pretty tough although after a few days of intense battling the paint is really chipped. It doesn’t seem to bother my boys they think it makes them look tough.
