The T-28 Trojan was a piston-powered U.S. military trainer used in the 1950s through the early 1970s. The original Trojan had a frameless canopy and an impressive engine that gave it a top speed exceeding 280 mph. Now you can pilot an electric scale replica of this historical warbird. Equipped with an outrunner brushless motor, ParkZone’s T-28 Trojan is a powerful, high performance aircraft. The Trojan is perfect for the experienced pilot who would rather spend his time flying a mighty scale replica airplane than building one

T-28 Trojan PNP Reviews

Perhaps The Best Parkzone Airplane Made

The Trojan is truly an amazing airplane for everyone to enjoy. This was my 2nd airplane and the first plane with ailerons. The plane flies very stable and lands well with the tricycle landing gear. Make no mistake though, the Trojan can be quite maneuverable in the hands of a skilled pilot. This is what makes the plane so fun! I learned many of the basics of flying on the T-28, and when I was ready I was able to increase the throws and really have a ball with it.

I have crashed this plane many times and after a little glue or epoxy it is as good as new. This airplane can most definitely take a licking and keep on flying. I would not hesitate to recommend this to just about anyone. The 100% beginner might need some more instruction or a helpful hand nearby, but if you have already flown a trainer or spent some time on the sim than the Trojan would be an excellent plane for you.

A great plane for beginners and up

My son and I love this plane. It’s his first, and it has been a great trainer. But it’s not limited in performance like simpler trainers, so he’s doing loops and rolls and will likely use this plane for a long time. Repairs after a crash are easy, and it’s pretty durable. Parts are pretty cheap to replace. Easy assembly.

Teach yourself to fly RC airplanes in style with this exciting recreation of Aeronca’s beloved tail wheel airplane. Its small size and lightweight, durable construction let you fly with confidence in spaces as small as your own backyard without having to worry too much about crash damage. And it’s so easy to control you could be flying it like a pro in no time even if you’ve never flown an RC airplane before.

The HobbyZone® Champ is also equipped with the Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2™ advantage: The Champ’s radio system uses the same Spektrum 2.4GHz DSM2 technology that is trusted by experienced RC pilots all around the world. With DSM2 technology you will enjoy complete freedom from signal interference whenever you fly. And after you teach yourself to fly, you can use the Champ’s transmitter to fly some of the Bind-N-Fly ultra micro aircraft from ParkZone and Blade. Visit bindnfly.com to see which ones.

Champ RTF Reviews

Our favorite micro

We have several micro planes from Hobbyzone and parkzone. This Champ RTF has turned out to be our favorite because it is not too fast that it requires a big flying area and docile enough to recover quickly if it gets in an unusual attitude. The wing dihedral helps keep the plane flying right side up. If you are an absolute new RC pilot, then I would go with an even slower, more stable Parkzone Night Vapor.

The good thing about this Champ is that if you are getting ready to hit something, just pull the power to idle and the Champs lack of mass will cause little damage to the plane as long as it hits something soft (grass). If you are nosing it into a driveway, then all bets are off, it will get damaged. Moral of the story, fly the Champ in a grass yard.

This is our favorite and always get pulled out of the closet to fly

awesome plane

I have no expirience flying airplanes but this is a good one. it is very durable and not too expesive. good things: durabe, easy to fly, not expensive. bad things: very sesitive to wind/very light breeze. be carful setting it down because the tail wheel is attached to the rudder and you can mess up the rudder. This plane wants to climb a lot so dont use much throttle. if you use too much and there’s a little breeze, well I almost lost the plane and it crash landed itself in the street so watch out on your first flight. All togehter this is a very nice plane

My first plane, NOT my first RC, and I love it

I’ve been RC modeling since 1985, all cars and boats. I left to the planes to my Dad, as I didn’t like the heartache of crashing something that took weeks or months to build. Dad got us an electric plane over two over the years, but they were terribly underpowered for their weight. We just had to wait for technology to catchup. Well let me say that it has, thanks to LiPo batteries, cheap electronics, 2.4ghz radios, and China.

I’ve had my little Champ out yesterday and today just after the daily afternoon rains we’ve been having. The air is pretty darn still at that time and there’s still enough light to see the plane easily for one battery charge. Actually, I’ve yet to run the battery all the way down! Since I fly it at half to 3/4 throttle most of the time, and sometimes just dead-stick it all the way to an effortless landing, my flight times have been close to 15 minutes.

I’ve yet to crash it, just a couple of rough landings, but always wheels down. The running track at the middle school a block from me is the perfect place to fly it. I am amazed at the power the plane has, which makes it very forgiving to fly. You can get yourself out of a lot of trouble thanks to the power surplus.
How cool that the transmitter is 4 ch and good enough to fly more sophisticated planes! I can tell it’s going to make me want to get a more advanced BNF (bind n fly) plane with ailerons at some point to do more stunts. Looking forward to attaching the keychain camera I got a few months ago on Ebay for $9 and shooting some cool birds eye views of the neighborhood.

Only cons are cheesy connector on battery feels very fragile, and one wheel fell off during taxiing the first time. I fortunately found the tiny plastic retainer and glued it in place so hopefully won’t happen again.

Begin Air RTF Electric RC Plane, NEW! Reviews

durable r/c trainer

One of the best ways to start r/c flying is with the Begin Air because of it’s durable body. You could crash it many times and fixed it with Elmer’s glue and packing tape. I rented the flight simulator from Parkflyer’s and that pushed me towards success even faster. Right now I am moving up to the Cessna 182 pro deluxe and hoping i could start doing tricks really soon with its trainer.

Nothing as exciting as Anti-Crash Technology (ACT) has happened to entry-level radio-controlled planes since HobbyZone was introduced.

Here’s how it works:
Two sensors on the fuselage, one on the top and one on the bottom, monitor the position of the plane in relation to the ground. When the plane is flying level, the top sensor sees the sky while the bottom sensor sees the ground, and they tell the onboard computer (receiver) that the plane is flying correctly. If the plane enters a severe dive, the sensors detect the change in orientation and react to the danger that the plane is then in. The software in the receiver will temporarily cut the motor and correct the severe angle and pitch of
the plane. This causes the nose to come up and pulls the plane out of the dive to help prevent the plane from crashing. The pilot is then able to regain control. If pilots are flying correctly and do not put the plane into a severe dive situation while ACT is engaged, they will have complete control of the plane’s flight pattern. Once users gain experience flying, they can turn ACT off.

Now, you can take advantage of this technological development by purchasing a Firebird Commander® 2. This plane comes with everything that you need to teach yourself how to fly, including a battery pack for the plane, batteries for the transmitter, and an instructional video and manual. All of this, including the revolutionary Anti-Crash Technology, makes a price of less than $100 seem like a steal. And, with the ability to shut ACT off, it’s like you get two planes in one. You can learn to fly with ACT engaged, and then shut it off to fly more aggressively and to use X-Port™ modules, such as the Aerial Drop Module™
(HBZ6023), Sonic Combat Module™ (HBZ4020) or the Night Flight Module™
(HBZ3510). Because flying at night is very difficult, you should be quite experienced before you attemp

This plane is super easy to fly but if you crash it forgiving as well.Wind is this planes enemy i flew this plane in 15mph wind and it took me 25 minutes to get my plane back on the ground because there is no up/down control and it just glides forever.Great little plane battery life is also good.Overall buy this if your new and want to learn how to fly but if you have some flying time then you will out grow this plane pretty quick.

Good Starting RC plane

I have had this plane for over 2 months now, and I am having a lot of fun with it. It is very very durable, I only had a few duct tape on the wing from many crashes I had. The battery would last around 15-20 mins depend on how hard you push it, and speed and range is more than enough for a beginner like me. I did have a little problem launching the airplane the first time. However, all it needed was a little more force, and make sure you turn on the transmitter first, then plug in the battery to the plane. Overall, it is an excellent product, and I am ready to move up to 3 or 4 ch
